- RCI-approved Special Education qualification, such as:

- Diploma in Special Education (1 Year)
- DCBR / PGDCBR + 6 Months Certificate
- MRW Diploma + 6 Months Certificate
- Junior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf
- DVR–MR / DVTE–MR Courses

- JTET Level–1 qualified
2. Graduate Trained Special Education Teacher (Classes 6–8)
Subjects: Mathematics & Science / Social Science / Language
Required qualifications:
- Graduation from a recognized university
- RCI-approved Special Education qualification, such as:
- B.Ed (Special Education)
- B.Ed (General) + 1 or 2 Year Diploma in Special Education
- PG Diploma in Special Education / PGPD / PGPCSE
- Senior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf
- B.A / B.Ed (Visual Impairment)

- JTET Level–2 qualified
